Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 European Championship in the Summer

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2

In the wake of the exciting world final that took place in Los Angeles in June, the next rounds of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 European Championship are coming.

The first qualifying rounds of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Team Cup 2019-2020 and Splatoon 2 European Championship 2019-2020 will take place in August in Germany during Gamescom, while the other European qualifying tournaments will be announced shortly.

The last season saw the rise of two new deserving European champions, with the Germans Team Ehre and the French Alliance Rogue defeating the competition in their respective European Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2 championships. Both teams they have earned a place in the World Championship held just a few days before E3 in Los Angeles, although unfortunately, both teams missed the chance to return home as winners.

The Ehre Team, considered disadvantaged before the 2019 European Smash Ball Team Cup, showed that everything is possible by defeating the favorite team, the French Team Guezmer, in the final in Amsterdam. While Alliance Rogue had to work hard to avoid the repetition of the past by taking their revenge against the BackSquids – the 2018 European Splatoon 2 Champions and World Championship finalists – with a landslide 4-1 victory in the final. Will Team Ehre and Alliance Rogue be able to return to the spotlight again, or one of the defeated rivals to take revenge? Perhaps a new race of challengers will emerge to have its moment of glory.

Players who want to join in the fun can participate in local tournaments and stay tuned to the official Nintendo site for more information. More details on the European Championship 2019-2020 will be announced shortly.
