As promised, the June update of Gran Turismo Sport is now available, introducing five new cars and an extra track set in Italy, more precisely in Sardinia. The rollout of the 1.40 patch began this morning in North America and will also reach Europe today.
Five new cars introduced by this update: the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1969, the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro 2019, the Toyota Sports 800 1965, the Renault Sport Clio V6 24V 2000 and the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2019 Competition, elected the fastest car in the world. There is also a street circuit set in Sardinia, with three different variants available.
And the rain? Promised initially as part of the 1.40 patch, the rain in Gran Turismo Sport should, however, debut later, probably with the free July update. It is not clear why this feature (loudly requested by the community) was not added with this patch, although clearly shown in the first trailer of the June 2019 update and in some off-screen videos of GT Sport.
At the moment, as reiterated, the patch is available in the United States, for the download in Europe we should wait a few hours, publication worldwide is in fact expected by today.
