As if the controversy over the pay-to-win content of Blackout’s update weren’t enough, the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 community protests on the Internet for the removal, with the latest update published by Treyarch on PC and console, of the mode a screen shared by Blackout’s battle royale universe.
The tenor of the criticisms coming from the social networks and from the main forums and sites of the sector after the discovery of the removal of the split screen from Blackout pushes the same guys of Treyarch to share the official point of view of the company to help clarify the topic.
A representative of Activision’s California subsidiary has in fact decided to respond on Reddit stating that “I contacted the development team and was informed that we have temporarily disabled the split screen while trying to evaluate and resolve some known problems. We will carefully examine the situation and we will share any updates with the rest of the community”.
The problem of the temporary removal of the screen function shared by Blackout’s battle royale module adds to the concerns fueled by the recent Kotaku report that focuses on the COD Black Ops 4 crunch time, starting from the letter sent by Treyarch’s top management to its employees and developers.
