Are the Animations of Pokémon Sword and Shield Recycled from Those of Sun and Moon for 3DS?

Pokemon Sword and Shield Will Be at the World Hobby Fair, New Details at the End of June

In the last hours a small controversy broke out regarding Pokémon Sword and Shield, and although the game is one of the most anticipated by fans, it is not even the first discussion about the first real chapter of the Nintendo Switch saga.

Already the fact that Pokémon Sword and Shield will not include all the Pokémon has raised more than one eyebrow so that producer Junichi Masuda had to explain that the decision was partly due to the fact that the team was focusing its efforts on producing quality animation.

This time, however, it is precisely the animations that end up being targeted by critics, as a user posted an online video in which he compares the animations of the game coming to Nintendo Switch, to Pokémon Sole and Luna released instead on 3DS, precisely because they seem very similar among them, so much so that we assume that Nintendo is in some way “recycling” them.

We talk in particular of the animations of Wingull, Bunnelby, Machoke, and Pikachu, which move in Pokémon Sword and Shield exactly as in the 3DS video game. You can take a look yourself in the video you find at the opening. What do you think?
