The Jedi Fallen Order video gameplay from E3 2019 ignited the enthusiasm of Star Wars fans but, at the same time, prompted many community members to ask Respawn to make changes to one of the most important elements of the graphics system and ludic of their title, that is the lightsabers.
Attending the game demo of the EA Play 2019, the purists of the Star Wars movie series have in fact noticed an unusual white light in the center of the beam of light of the lightsaber held by the protagonist Cal Kestis.
According to the criticisms made by those who discovered this graphic incongruity with the Star Wars epic, the game director of Respawn Entertainment, Stig Asmussen , explained to the editors of Game Informer that “we made a mistake with lightsabers but (with the current build of the game, ed) we have already solved it “ .
As the subject gets deeper, Asmussen makes it clear that “the criticism of this fan feedback was just and fair, so we optimized the light and in the meantime, we also slightly changed the shape of the lightsaber: the difference compared to before is immediately visible”. For the occasion, the director of the project of the new action of Electronic Arts set in the distant galaxy of Star Wars has thanked those who have pointed out this “problem” by addressing the developers directly, without triggering controversy on social media that could have negatively affected on the title.
The launch of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is scheduled for November 15 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Did you know that Disney had doubts about the project in the early stages of its development?
