PS Plus in July: Sony and Konami Explain Who Decided to Replace Pes 2019 With Detroit

PlayStation Plus: Rumor and Speculation on the Free Games of June 2019

From the pages of GameSpot, representatives of Konami and Sony try to clarify the thorny issue regarding the removal of PES 2019 from the PS Plus games in July and its subsequent replacement with Detroit Become Human.

As reconstructed by the colleagues of GS, the announcement of the modification of the lineup of the PS Plus games of the Instant Game Collection of July took place with a message published by Sony on its social channels which explains how “we have decided to make a change to the line of games PS Plus this month and we will be offering Detroit Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition instead of PES 2019. This was a decision we decided to make as a company and apologize for any inconvenience.

To confirm the statements made by Sony today come the words spoken by a Konami representative, according to whom “this decision was taken by Sony, so contact Sony” in the hope, by doing so, of understanding what happened on the delicate day that should have brought PES 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo (the latter, we remember, has been confirmed) in the PS4 free games catalogue of PlayStation Plus in July.

In this regard, the intervention of the European Pro Evolution Soccer brand manager Lennart Bobzien also arrived, according to which Konami’s top management was taken by surprise by this change and would not have received any clarification from Sony yet: “I can’t really tell you what happened because I found out today, in the morning when I opened my laptop, I really don’t know how to explain it . ” In any case, the new free PS Plus games of July are the Deluxe Edition with Heavy Rain by Detroit Become Human and the acrobatic arcade racer Horizon Chase Turbo, both of which can be downloaded for free from subscribers to the service on PS4 until Tuesday 6 August.
