Inspired by projects such as the copy of the DualShock 4 of PS4 and Up’s flying house, a fan of Crash Bandicoot used the Dreams editor to create a level dedicated to his favorite video game hero.
The author of this fan-made project has drawn on his boundless wealth of experience in the levels of Crash Bandicoot to give shape to a colorful, entirely playable microcosm. The “interactive dream” built by the Dreams user, as we can see in the gameplay video that stands out at the beginning of the article, includes the inevitable platform sessions and even clashes with an end-of-level boss.
All the game mechanics, from the character’s animations to the boss’s artificial intelligence, were created independently by the author of the fan-made level inspired by Crash Bandicoot: even the graphic elements and audio samples are the results of the user’s work, thus giving proof of a unique ability that, as happened in the past with the content creators of LittleBigPlanet, could even favor its entry into the team of developers of Media Molecule.
The Early Access phase of Dreams should end soon and, according to its authors, is going full steam ahead thanks to the passion shown by its community and the originality of the levels created and shared for free by players on PS4.
