Google Stadia: iOS and Android Devices Supported at Launch Announced

Google Stadia

Through an update of the page on Frequently Asked Questions on the official website of Google Stadia, the Mountain View giant helps us to clarify the iOS and Android devices supported at the launch of the in-game streaming service, planned here in Italy for the month of November.

On the basis of the latest information shared by Big G, when Google Stadia is launched, those who want to play through their smartphone can do so exclusively from Pixel 3 and 3a devices (in this case, Google Pixel 3a, 3a XL, 3 and 3 XL ). However, the leaders of the Google division in charge of managing the Stadia project tend to point out that “other devices will be supported in the future”.

In the phase characterized by the Founder’s Edition of Stadia, consequently, we will be able to play on smartphones only through a Pixel 3 device: whoever wants, will still be able to create his own account, make purchases on subscriptions and video games from any Android smartphone or tablet (with the same operating system or higher than Android M ) or iOS (also here, from devices with iOS 11 or later), all through access to the official Google Stadia app .

If on PC the access to Stadia will be possible from the launch of the service which will take place in November, in this first phase those who want to connect to the game in the streaming game directly from their TV can do so only through Google Chromecast Ultra.
