During a recent interview given to Game Informer.com microphones, Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Square-Enix currently concentrated with Tetsuya Nomura on the development of the ambitious Final Fantasy VII Remake, spoke of a possible realization of Final Fantasy XIII.
Although this is an idea that is often discussed internally in the Square-Enix studios, Kitase has specified that currently there is no standing project that could somehow give rise to fan hopes. This, in large part, is due to the fact that the company is at this moment completely concentrated on the remaking of the seventh final fantasy, and considering the episodic nature of the title it is assumed that it will still be for several years.
” The idea jumps out from time to time when some people who have worked on the original Final Fantasy X talk to each other,” Kitase’s statements. “This is why the people who worked on the game are still in Square Enix today, but also because they have so many fond memories.
” However, this is just normal talk , and nothing has been planned to make it happen because, once we start working on it, there is no doubt that it would become a huge project with hundreds of committed employees (and I have an ongoing project that I need to finish before that!) “ .
Who knows, anyway, if after the end of the work on all the chapters of Final Fantasy VII Remake Square-Enix does not decide to go and brush up another of the most important chapters of his JRPG series. Would you like the arrival of Final Fantasy XIII?
