“You know, this is a name I haven’t heard for a long time,” said Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars. Taken aside quotations, a name that we could soon hear about as far as the videogame scene is concerned is Super Monkey Ball, at least according to the latest rumors.
According to what has been leaked, Sega is working on a revival for the brand, whose launch may not even be too far away, given that the product has just been classified in Taiwan, and given the cover image, which you find at the bottom to the news, can only refer to Super Monkey Ball.
For those who do not know it, it is a classic platformer originally intended for arcades, and which then became the protagonist especially on Nintendo consoles. Some games have also been released on PS2 and on Xbox, and the last title in the series is Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz, which dates back to 2012 on PS Vita.
Unfortunately, the official English name has not yet been filed, so we must rely on the translation of the Goldmetalsonic website, according to which the theme of the game will probably have something to do with food.
Sega had recently registered the name Tabegoro Super Monkey Ball in Japan, so at the end that may be the official name of the video game, but there is no official information about it.
What do you think? Would you like a possible return of the brand?
