In a decidedly unusual move, Nintendo released Dr. Mario World on mobile devices one day ahead of schedule.
Initially expected today 10 July, the new game starring the Italian mustache plumber – here as a doctor – can already be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Dr. Mario World preserves the characteristic game formula of the series, which involves the combination of at least three objects of the same color, with the difference that now the capsules are directed from the bottom upwards, and not vice versa as in the past. The title includes 5 different worlds composed of a total of 169 levels, ranging from puzzles with capsules limited to timed challenges, passing through the multiplayer component.
In addition to Mario, players can also impersonate two other doctors, Peach and Bowser, who have different special abilities. As we have seen in recent days, doctors can also rely on some exceptional assistants who will help them eradicate the threat of viruses, including Luigi, Toadette, and Ludwig! Finally, we would like to point out that being free-to-play, Dr. Mario World includes support for microtransactions for the purchase of Diamonds, which can, in turn, be used to purchase additional lives and items to be used in the game.
