Microsoft Patents a New Type of Controller for Project xCloud?

Microsoft is very keen to focus on Project xCloud, as seen during its E3 2019 conference, and as demonstrated by one of the latest patents filed by the Redmond giant. The company is, in fact, thinking of a new type of controller, probably designed for cloud gaming.

The use of smartphones and tablets is not very well seen especially by hardcore gamers as regards the precision of the controls, especially with the use of the touch screen. According to the patent filed, the controller will be quite similar, at least in the concept, to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con, and will fit on the sides of your device.

One of the keys to the success of the Nintendo console is indeed the fact that it has enhanced the game on the move, but using physical controls, and it is therefore from this base that Microsoft seems to be planning to leave.

The joypads, which you can see in the picture at the bottom of the news, it is not said that they will actually be put on the market by the company, especially in this form, but they are surely a sign of the fact that it is studying a simple solution to satisfy the most demanding players in what appears to be the next major phase in video game history, cloud gaming .

What do you think? Would you like a kind of controller like that? Do you think Microsoft is on the right track?
