Nintendo fans have welcomed Switch Lite with great enthusiasm, but many have wondered why the Kyoto company has decided to present the new portable console in only three colours, namely turquoise, yellow and grey. From the community comes the idea of a retro version of Switch Lite.
To propose this unique cover is Tom Storm, a popular New York designer and graphic designer eager to take advantage of Switch’s “Mini version” presentation to show the world his unshakable childhood passion for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy.
The special edition in vintage sauce of Nintendo Switch Lite created by Storm and shared on the pages of its social profiles adopts the same light gray color of the plastic body of the legendary NES and the Game Boy, with details in relief and a different coloration in the layout of the buttons to honor the controller of Nintendo’s 80s console and the subsequent portable platform that, last April, has turned 30 years old.
At the bottom of the article you will find the image of the render made by the American designer, but first we remind you that Nintendo Switch Lite will be available here in Italy starting from September 20th of this year at a price that, to listen to the rumours offered from GameStop, it should be 219.98 euros.
