Astral Chain: Platinum Games Reveals the Dimensions on Nintendo Switch

Astral Chain, New Artwork Released by Platinum Games

With the stunning images and gameplay scenes of Astral Chain from the Japan Expo still in our eyes, we return to the colorful sci-fi dimension of the Platinum Games adventure to discover the dimensions of the game and the “weight” of the space occupied on Nintendo Switch.

On the basis of information shared by the Japanese authors on the pages of the local eShop of the hybrid console (or exclusively portable, in the case of Switch Lite) by Nintendo, we discover that the space to be reserved on disk to play Astral Chain will be approximately 9.6 GB , a quantity of data well above the 3.5 GB Super Mario Maker 2 but still less than the 13.4 GB required at the launch of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Regardless of the considerations on the size and weight of the title, the roleplaying action experiment of the authors of Bayonetta promises to give us an extremely fresh gameplay, an inspired graphic compartment and a fast-paced narrative plot, thanks to the collaboration with the mangaka Masakazu Katsura for the design of the protagonists, of Nier Automata designer Takahisa Taura and the supervision of the legendary Hideki Kamiya .

At this point it remains for us to remind you that the new Platinum Games sci-fi effort will be released on Nintendo Switch on August 30th: in the meantime, we advise you to read our in-depth study of the Astral Chain gameplay by Marco Mottura.
