Although Cyberpunk 2077 promises to deliver a kind of free and completely malleable experience from the player’s decisions, CD Projekt RED’s ambitious new Sci-Fi project will have to deal with its gameplay limitations.
Although it is true that V, the protagonist of the title, may prove hostile with most of the people who populate the six distances of the futuristic Night Cityrecreated by the development team, we are now told that it will not be possible to clash with certain specific characters.
Specifically, by answering questions from a curious fan, CD Projekt RED confirmed that children will enjoy special protection so we will not be able to attack them, and even certain NPCs deemed crucial for the main campaign to take place will not be subject to violence by the player. Who for ethical reasons, who for diegetic reasons, some will thus be able to save themselves even from the most brutal and irascible of the players.
In general, however, it is advisable to act with caution in the world of Cyberpunk 2077: if you decide to attack someone in the territories controlled by the gang or by the police, you will pay the consequences, with these that you will not have problems returning the favour at a later time.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be published on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 16th 2020. CD Projekt has confirmed the presence of the garage in which we will be able to park our sparkling futuristic cars.
