God of War’s Art Director Recreated Cuphead’s Villains in His Own Way

The appreciated Raf Grassetti, talented art director at Sony Santa Monica credited among the authors of the most recent episode of the God of War saga, recreated in his own way the two iconic villains of Cuphead, King Dado and Il Diavolo.

Enthused by the run on Cuphead that he is conducting in the company of his son, Grassetti has embarked on a new challenge trying to recreate in his personal style the two characters of Studio MDHR run and gun, originally designed in 2D graphics and here become three-dimensional.

“I’ve been a fan of Cuphead since it came out and now that I’m playing the title with my son I’m adding some characters to my sketchbook. I can’t wait for the DLC and the Netflix series to come,  were the statements by Grassetti published on his Twitter profile.

It is certainly not the first time that the artist in force at Santa Monica Studio delights us with his reinterpretations: in the past, for example, we could admire his very personal version of Bowser of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Recall that Cuphead is now available for Windows 10 PCs, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The highly anticipated DLC The Delicious Last Course, unfortunately, was recently postponed to 2020.
