In recent days Gearbox had announced the Celebration of Togetherness, an event related to Borderlands 3 that had, of course, aroused the curiosity of the fans. Some Twitter users had begun to speculate on possible topics, and one of them was the presence of cross-play.
It is in fact a feature requested loudly by the players, to which it seems that the software house is also thinking, but that it will certainly not be present from day one. He spoke the same CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, in a post on Twitter.
“Some people are speculating that tomorrow’s event is about cross-play. What we will reveal tomorrow will be fantastic, but it has nothing to do with cross-play. Good news: we are willing to support it with our partners as soon as it is possible after launch. ” he had written in a Pitchford tweet, before further explaining his thoughts with a new post.
“To clarify, there will be no cross-play functionality in Borderlands 3 at launch, but we are working closely with our partners to create a positive cross-play experience as soon as it is practicable. We intend to take it to as many platforms as possible”.
What do you think of his words? Is cross-play a feature that interests you in Borderlands 3?
To be clear, there will not be any cross-play functionality in Borderlands 3 at launch as we work closely with our partners to create a positive cross-play experience as soon as practicable. We are committed to cross-play on as many platforms as possible.
