The PlayStation 4 firmware goes to version 6.72 after Sony has made a new update available in all regions. This is a small update, weighing about 442 MB, so especially with a fast internet connection, it won’t be a problem to download.
The 6.72 firmware does not bring with it particularly relevant innovations if not some improvement in the overall performance of the system not identified, and little else. It is not a novelty by Sony, which often introduces small updates to improve the stability of the system, for example, while preferring to launch more substantial updates after a trial period in beta.
It was, for example, the case of the PS4 firmware 6.50, which introduced several features, the most important of which was the possibility of playing in remote play on iOS and other devices, or the 6.00 update which made it possible to use custom wallpaper from USB and some additional options for parental control.
