The Resident Evil saga continues to expand also on Nintendo Switch: announced during E3 2019 during the Direct of the big N, here is that Resident Evil 5 and 6 have now received a final launch date on the hybrid console.
The owners of the Nintendo platform had already accepted the arrival of Resident Evil HD, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 last May, which are now preparing to give way to two of the most controversial chapters in the entire Capcom saga, available on Switch from October 29th. Unlike the predecessors, in fact, the fifth and sixth chapter completely abandon the pure survival horror vein of which the franchise was soaked up to that moment (even though Resident Evil 4 was designed to be a tps action, thus acting as a springboard for launch for the next two episodes of the series).
Despite the criticisms due to gameplay changes and general atmospheres, both titles, being open to a more casual audience, have achieved excellent commercial successes. Resident Evil 5, to be honest, is the top-selling title of the series at 11 million copies (including all versions released by the game), immediately followed by the sixth chapter with about 8 million units sold. Will you take the opportunity to return to playing Resident Evil 5 and 6?
Pack your bags – Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 start their globetrotting adventure on Nintendo Switch on October 29th!
