Cyberpunk 2077: Love Stories, Acid Rain and Pollution in the CD Projekt Red Game

Cyberpunk 2077

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is preparing to welcome gamers starting next April 16th, 2020. Before the fateful release date, the CD Projekt Red team tells the universe of the title.

During a substantial interview granted to Wccftech, Alvin Liu, a member of the software house, discussed different aspects of production. Among these, the possibility of establishing emotional ties within the world of Cyberpunk 2077, with the confirmation that within Night City players will be able to dedicate themselves to the consolidation of a romance. In this regard, CD Projekt’s desire to “build characters with a strong personality” was highlighted. Recalling the character differences proposed in The Witcher 3 with, for example, Yennefer and Triss, Liu stated that the team “selected some NPCs that will have very rich relationships” .

On the environmental front, it was also confirmed that the world of Cyberpunk 2077 will present dynamic weather, which will also include extreme events such as acid rain. In this regard, Liu states: “Night City is a very polluted city, and we intend to explore this kind of thing too, pollution, global warming and more”. During events like acid rain, NPCs will seek refuge. The latter will also have their own daily routines: to explain the extent, Liu proposed a comparison with what was seen in The Witcher 3 Novigrad.

In closing, we remind you that the Polish team recently highlighted the potential offered by the role play in Cyberpunk 2077 and underlined how the game will be interesting even for those who do not like FPS.
