Ghost Recon Wildlands Will Receive the Free Mercenaries Mode Waiting for Breakpoint

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands

Missing a few months to the launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and waiting for Ubisoft have decided to make a welcome gift to all players still active on Wildlands: we are talking about the free mode Mercenaries, coming today 18 July.

Mercenaries is a PvPVE gaming experience all against all 8 players. The goal is to call for help, reach the extraction point and get on the helicopter before the others. The first phase, the recognition, will see the participants unaware of the extraction point and engaged in finding and activating three radio transmitters to circumscribe the area. Once activated, they will be able to precisely locate the extraction point and move on to the second phase, the waiting for the helicopter. Upon landing, the position of the aircraft will become known to all participants of the game. At that point, the third phase, the extraction, will begin. Once at the point, the players will have to fill a bar in order to get on the helicopter, standing in a very specific area. The bar will have checkpoints that, once reached, will not decrease the level even if they should leave the area, for example, to set a trap for the other mercenaries. It will not be possible to complete the draw in the presence of other players in the area, so it will be necessary to adopt the best tactic to keep them at a distance.

As a reward for completing the first Mercenaries game, the lone wolf costume will be provided, visible among the images in the gallery below. Furthermore, it will be possible to obtain rewards based on the number of wins:

  • 1 victory: mercenary patch
  • 3 victories: mercenary trousers
  • 5 victories: heavy mercenary vest
  • 10 victories: mercenary army jacket
  • 15 victories: a heavy vest with mercenary reinforced straps
  • 25 victories: mercenary backpack

The patch of today July 18 will also solve a series of bugs found in the PVP, Guerrilla and PVE modes. More details can be found on the official website of the game. Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The sequel, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, will arrive on the same platforms on October 4th.
