Fans of The Witcher universe born of Andrzej Sapkowski are in fibrillation, since in the last few hours, at the San Diego Comi-Con, the first trailer of the TV series Netflix was shown.
The television adaptation, as is well known, will be based on the novels and not on the video game series of CD Projekt RED, but we are sure that even the gamers can’t wait to watch it. During the Californian fair, the writer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and the cast of the series had the opportunity to have a chat with IGN, during which they revealed some interesting background of the work. One, in particular, caught our attention. The interpreter of Geralt of Rivia, the famous Henry Cavill ( Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Mission Impossible: Fallout ) confessed to being a fan of the videogame series and playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt numerous times.
Speaking of the emotions he felt while playing Strigo, he said: “For me, personally, it was like playing The Witcher 3 but with a completely different skin on it. I’ve played it many times, I’ve seen and done so many things, I keep having fun, but what would it be like if I could play in a different way? That’s how I felt while I was doing the show. Yes, it’s Geralt from Rivia, the Witcher, but now he’s like me. a sense of originality, because the themes are very similar”.
The official release date of the Netflix television series has not yet been revealed. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, on the other hand, you can play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
