Blizzard Entertainment: Co-Founder Frank Pearce Leaves the Software House

“The time has come for me to move away from Blizzard and pass the baton to the next generation of leaders”: it is with these words that Frank Pearce announced his decision.

The co-founder of the well  known software house has in fact decided, after a career of 28 years, to complete his work experience at Blizzard. The news was accompanied by the publication of an intense message from Pearce himself on the official website of the development team. Inside, this important figure of the videogame world has remembered with affection and passion what has been achieved since the birth of the software house until its consecration. In particular, Pearce wanted to mention the organization of the first edition of BlizzCon, during which, he says, he “realized the special importance of the people and the communities that had become part of the experience for our players”.

In his message, Pearce looked with satisfaction at what the team did during his story: We created games that we wanted to play, believing that like-minded people would have liked to play those games [….] I am very proud to have had the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of so many people through the experiences we have created “. Pearce also looked to the future with optimism, pointing out that “There are many exciting initiatives underway, and I can’t wait to see the final results”.
