Death Stranding, Unveiled the Covers of the Standard and Steelbook Editions

During the Hideo Kojima: Master Storyteller panel held at the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 in the past few hours, Hideo Kojima has officially unveiled the covers of the Standard Edition and the Death Stranding Steelbook.

Both artworks depict the protagonist Sam Bridges, “who must face a world profoundly transformed by Death Stranding, and save humanity by reconnecting a fragmented society”. You can admire them in the gallery attached at the bottom of this news. The Steelbook case will be included in the Special and Collector’s editions, both available for pre-order … although the latter is already quite difficult to find.

During the panel, Hideo Kojima was joined by director Nicolas Winding Refn, who plays a character called Heartman in the game. The two discussed the approach to narrative and the future of entertainment. The Japanese designer also showed a short clip starring Heartman, which has not yet been released on the net.

Death Stranding, we remember, will arrive on the shelves on November 8th exclusively on the PlayStation 4 version. According to rumors, in the future, it could see the light also on PS5 with extra content.
