Thanks to the official announcement of Frozenbyte, we finally find out when Nintendo Switch owners will be able to get their hands on the platform series by Trine, particularly appreciated for its inspired and suggestive aesthetic characterization.
The Helsinki studio has announced that Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, the most controversial chapter in the series that first included gameplay portions entirely in 3D graphics, will be launched via the Nintendo Switch eShop on Monday 29 July at the price of 19.99 euros.
The Switch version of Trine 3 runs in 900p at 30fps in TV mode and at 720p at 30fps in portable mode. On the hybrid console, the title will be playable up to 3 players in local, online and local co-op wirelessly.
In addition, the Trine 1-3 collection, including all the episodes of the franchise published to date, will be available (at least in North America) in retail version at GameStop stores starting from September 20, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch version.
By the end of 2019, Trine Ultimate Collection will also arrive, which will allow PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch owners to relive the fairytale adventures of Amadeus, Pontius and Zoya. Recall that for the same launch window there is a sequel to the series, Trine 4 The Nightmare Prince, which promised to recapture and improve the playful experience offered by the first two beloved episodes.
