Harry Potter Wizards Unite has recorded the second-best launch ever for an Augmented Reality video game, generating 12 million dollars in the first month of presence on the App Store and Google Play.
An important figure but certainly much lower than the one collected by Pokemon GO in the first thirty days, around 300 million dollars worldwide thanks to microtransactions. However, Harry Potter Wizards Unite achieved superior results in the first month compared to fierce competitors such as Jurassic World Alive (10.3 million), The Walking Dead Our World (3.9 million) and Ghostbusters World ($200,000).
With 15 million downloads, the new Niantic Labs game is also the second most downloaded AR title ever in the first month, right behind Pokemon GO. For Harry Potter Wizards Unite this is just the beginning of a journey that will lead to the release of new updates, features and extra game modes in the coming months.
