Tetris Effect was released late last year on Playstation 4, but now it has also been released to PC via the Epic Games Store. In connection with the launch, it was called that the game requires SteamVR to work, but this is apparently completely incorrect.
Developer and publisher Enhance tells Eurogamer that it can also be played with the Oculus Rifts Oculus SDK (software development kit). Enhance has also tweeted about the matter because it got such a big spread:
“1. To play in (optional) VR, you can launch via SteamVR (not Steam) for Vive (& some other HMDs that work with the OpenVR API), -OR- Oculus VR for that HMD
2. Tetris Effect is VR optional, you can play in 2D with no res or framerate limit! “
That misunderstanding arose is not so strange and even Epic Games said this to DSOGaming _
“Tetris Effect itself does not require steam to run. However, Tetris Effect VR does not require SteamVR, both on HTC Vive and Oculus.”
Will you get this and can you recommend others to make it PC?
