Deus Ex Mankind Divided: Originally the Presence of Adam Jensen Was Not Foreseen

Deus Ex Mankind Divided

During a recent interview with Elias Toufexis, the actor who lent his voice to Adam Jensen, interesting information emerged on the initial stages of the development of Deux Ex: Mankind Divided.

The last chapter of the series, which despite its success in terms of sales failed to exceed its predecessor, had to have a protagonist different from Jensen.

Here are the words of Toufexis:

“When they contacted me about the Human Revolution sequel, I was very surprised. I don’t think anyone knows and now it is possible to say, initially, the developers were working on a new chapter without Jensen. They were creating a completely new episode of Deus Ex. what I remember, the marketing team prevented him from saying ‘No, you can’t do it. He’s become a video game icon and you can’t make a game without him.’ So they agreed and created a sequel directed by Human Revolution. They worked on it for 2 and a half years. “

I wonder if one day the details on the story and the protagonist of the deleted title will emerge. Nor can it be ruled out that the next chapter of the series may be based on the ideas initially envisaged for Mankind Divided.

And what do you think? Would you like a new title starring Adam Jensen or a completely new character? Let us know in the comments.
