Bad news for strategic lovers: Phoenix Point, the new turn-based game by Julian Gollop, author of the first X-Com, has been postponed again. In fact, its release was announced for 2018, before being postponed until September 3, and now, hopefully permanently, in December.
The same developers said in a press release: “We know this is not our first postponement, and we are very sorry for the fans, who know how they can not wait to get their hands on Phoenix Point. No one is more disappointed than we are, but we all have to agree that we prefer to miss a deadline, rather than releasing something that does not meet our standards, we want the Phoenix Point you play to be one of your favorite games of all time, and that means that we need a little more time”.
As mentioned at the opening, Phoenix Point is now scheduled for December, although a very precise release date has not been set. However, the game’s backers will have early access to a more complete version of the game on September 3rd.
Phoenix Point will be an exclusive Epic Games Store for a year, but will also be included in the Xbox Game Pass for PC.
