It’s been over a year since we last saw The Last of Us: Part 2 in action, which is undoubtedly the most anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive ever. The guys at Naughty Dog, evidently, are working hard to make sure there’s nothing out of place before announcing the release date.
For the moment, therefore, we must necessarily be content with some indiscretion or statements such as the one that Joel’s voice actor Troy Baker released at Push Square at the Manchester Comic-Con last weekend. The actor could not provide substantial information, but he further raised our expectations by stating that according to him The Last of Us Part 2 “is the most ambitious game ever made by Naughty Dog”. Baker was strongly impressed by what he saw: “It’s much bigger than I thought was possible. “
Of the release date, as easily imaginable, he knows absolutely nothing: “I think they are smart enough not to tell us because we could let them escape and say something stupid.[…] I can’t tell you where in the development it is”. The guys at Naughty Dog, apparently, are perfectionists: ” Everybody is always convinced that something is wrong. Even when they deliver it, there will be someone who will say: ‘We have created an imperfect game!'”.
In recent days, however, some rumors have emerged about the release date of The Last of Us Part 2, which would be set for May 22 next year. The delay would be due to the desire to create a cross-gen game ready to be published also on PS5. It is good to specify, in any case, that this is absolutely unofficial information.
