Xbox Game Pass: Announced the New Video Games Coming in the Catalogue in August

The curators of Microsoft’s social media channels and Larry’s “Major Nelson” Hryb blog announce the upcoming video games destined to enter the Xbox Game Pass catalogue on Windows 10 and Xbox One PCs by the first half of August.

The new batch of titles planned for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass, or to the recent Game Pass Ultimate which also includes the subscription to Xbox Live Gold, does not propose triple-A video games to focus on independent projects, party games and arcade adventures. From here to the first half of August it will be possible to download the excellent roguelike Slay the Spire, the digital board game collection of Jackbox Party Pack 2, the Pandemic management software and the RTS Space Hulk Tactics.

Here is the complete list of upcoming games coming in the Game Pass catalogue:

1 August

  • Ashes Cricket (Xbox One)
  • Pandemic (Xbox One)
  • Downwell (PC)

8 August

  • The Jackbox Party Pack 2 (Xbox One)
  • Space Hulk Tactics (PC)

August 14th

  • Slay the Spire (PC and Xbox One)

In the past few days, Microsoft has further expanded the Game Pass catalogue to allow subscribers on Windows 10 and Xbox One PCs to enjoy “free” titles such as Resident Evil 4, Metal Gear Solid 5 and, albeit with some problems, by Killer Instinct Definitive Edition
