CMON and CD Projekt are happy to announce Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game, a new card game set in the universe of the expected RPG video game. It is to all intents and purposes the first collaboration between the two companies, which seem to have some more in store for the future.
Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game was conceived by Eric M. Lang and Andrea Chiarvesio, and will be set in the dark alleys of Night City, where unscrupulous gangs clash with corporations in a war for endless money. Players will be asked to impersonate Fixers, information traders who maneuver the shady Night City business behind the scenes by hiring and sending the Cyberpunks on a mission.
According to what can be read in the official press release, players will have to carefully evaluate what they want and what they can afford. Using innovative drafting mechanics and a special dashboard, they will have to decide which cards to buy and which to sacrifice to be able to buy more. Each mission accomplished will reward players with Street Cred, the only currency that counts. Those who survive the assignments will be considered Veterans.
Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game will be launched on the market in 2020, on a date not yet specified. At the bottom of this news, you can see a snap of the packaging, depicting the male version of V. Cyberpunk 2077, the video game, will debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 16th 2020.
