Call of Duty Modern Warfare Cross-Play: It Is Not Clear If Progress Will Be Maintained

The presence of cross-play on Call of Duty Modern Warfare has been official for some time, and in the past few days, Activision has also clarified the operation of matchmaking, in which players will be divided into groups according to the type of controls used.

However, there is one aspect that Activision has yet to clarify, namely that related to the progress of the players and the possibility that they will be maintained on all platforms with a single account, a bit like in Fortnite and Dauntless, for example.

Neither the publisher nor Infinity Ward, however, still seem to have clear ideas about it. Joe Cecot, co-design director of the multiplayer game, said he was still looking for a solution. Those who participated in last week’s reveal, however, mentioned the presence of two friend lists, one related to the console and another to the Activision account, which should generally go hand in hand with saving cross-platform progress , for which it is possible that the software house is actually working on the feature, but does not want to announce it ahead of time.

Also because of the problems could be represented by the policies of some platforms, which do not always see such a possibility willingly. In the meantime, all we have to do is wait.
