Namco Bandai has revealed more details about Season Pass 3 of Tekken 7, confirming that among the new characters on the roster there will Zafina and Leroy. And maybe even a special guest star: Metal Snake’s Solid Snake.
The announcement came at the EVO 2019, the famous tournament dedicated to the people of Piacenza. While on the one hand, Zafina presents itself as an old acquaintance from Tekken 6, on the other Leroy Smith proposes himself as a completely new fighter. If you are curious to see the two characters in action in Tekken 7, you can take a look at the trailer at the top of the news.
The news may not end here. Apparently, the Season Pass 3 could also include a very special guest on the Tekken 7 roster: Metal Snake ‘s Solid Snake.
After a match played between the players of Tekken 7 Knee and Anakin, in fact, a very short video of a Metal Gear Solid-style codec communication appeared on the screen (this sequence did not appear on the official Evo stream). During the conversation, Snake told Tekken’s producer Katsuhiro Harada, “That was a very good Tekken player”. According to commentators Mark “MarkMan” Julio and Aris Bakhtanians, that clip was reserved only for spectators present at EVO 2019.
Although Bandai Namco has not yet officially confirmed the appearance of Solid Snake in Tekken 7, based on the teaser and the appearance of Snake as a fighter in the Super Smash Bros. series, it does not seem so unlikely that the protagonist of Metal Gear Solid landings in the roster of the game with the Season Pass 3.
Recall that two characters have been confirmed so far for Season 3, Zafina and the kung fu master Leroy Smith, with two more arriving by the spring of 2020.
