After the rumours leaked yesterday, journalist and presenter Geoff Keighley officially confirmed that Death Stranding will be the protagonist of the Gamescom 2019 opening show on August 19, an occasion in which something new will be shown on the highly anticipated Hideo Kojima game.
As you can see at the bottom of the page, the announcement came with a tweet published by Geoff Keighley himself. Hideo Kojima will be the special guest of the Gamescom 2019 opening show. The event in question is called OPN: Opening Night Live and will be broadcast in live streaming from the stands of the German videogame festival, starting from 20:00 (GMT +2) on Monday 19 August.
Naturally, the famous Japanese game director will go on stage to talk about Death Stranding, and to introduce a new world premiere presentation of the game. It is in effect a new premiere of Death Stranding, where we can take a look at the ambitious project of Metal Gear Solid’s father.
