Thanks to a new interview published by the PlayStation Blog, we are now discovering new information about the highly-anticipated Borderlands 3, the Gearbox Software shooter expected for launch in September.
Specifically, they were shared by Scott Velasquez, Online & Social Product Owner of the game, new details on the Borderlands 3 PlayStation 4 Pro edition. This is certainly good news, as it has been confirmed that the players who will buy the title on this platform (but it is assumed that the same treatment will also be reserved for Xbox One X) will be able to select two distinct graphics modes depending on your personal needs.
“Players will be able to choose between ‘ Favor Resolution ‘ and ‘ Favor Performance ‘ on PS4 Pro through a new setting called Graphics Preferences. When selecting Favor Resolution, we aim for the highest possible resolution[likely to be a dynamic resolution, ed], limiting the framerate to 30 frames per second In Favor Performance mode, we increase the framerate limit to 60 frames per second and 1080p rendering”.
Velasquez also added that even those using Full HD TV will benefit from the additional computational power of PS4 Pro, resolution giving a visibly greater sharpness to the game image.
Borderlands 3 will be available from 13 September 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Gearbox franchise has recently achieved 48 million copies distributed worldwide.
