In the new images of Ghost Recon Breakpoint published by Ubisoft Paris on the pages of Game Informer, the transalpine developers immortalize the futuristic architecture and the boundless forests of Auroa that will be the backdrop to the missions that await us in the new chapter of this historic shooter series.
As the French authors themselves explain to the editors of GI, the choice to abandon a realistic setting in favor of a set of pure fantasy may have disoriented a part of the community of loyalists to Ghost Recon but it was necessary to guarantee that momentum of originality and innovation required by the Breakpoint project.
The narrative plot laid out by Ubisoft Paris to write the story of the new Ghost Recon will indeed oblige Nomad and his team to hurry on the Auroa archipelago to face the threat of mercenaries led by ruthless Colonel Cole D. Walker to avoid that the latter comes into possession of the experimental weapons of the Skell industries.
On the islands that line the fictitious Auroa archipelago we will find scientific, industrial and military installations crammed full of futuristic technologies. The creative freedom guaranteed by the abandonment of a realistic scenario will thus contribute to enhancing the gameplay innovations promised to us by the Ubi developers, between exquisitely action situations and open-world sessions devoted to survival. And this, without mentioning the presence of a cooperative component that promises to be really profound.
The release of Ghost Recon Breakpoint is scheduled for October 4 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: those looking to the future of game streaming services will be happy to know that the title will be released in November on Google Stadia and will be available “for free “from all subscribers to Uplay + , the new Ubisoft program that will allow all users to access the entire catalog of video games of the French company on PC and, in 2020, on Stadia, with possible landing on PS4 and Xbox One.
