According to an alleged leak released by the Youtuber Long Sensation, Call of Duty Modern Warfare could receive a Battle Royale mode in 2020 to be downloaded as a separate free-to-play form.
As you can see at the bottom of the page, the alleged leak was spread on Twitter by Long Sensation, the same Youtuber who in the last hours had published another rumor about the Call of Duty 2020 campaign, which apparently could be set during the Cold War.
Returning to Modern Warfare, if LongSensation’s rumor turns out to be true, the Call of Duty 4 reboot could receive a Battle Royale mode in 2020, as a separate downloadable form and playable for free by all players (even by those who are not in possession of the title).
Naturally, since it is a simple rumor without official confirmation, we invite you to take the news with pliers waiting for further details. At present, the only certainty about this comes from Infinity Ward, and in particular from the multiplayer design director Joe Cecot, who in a recent interview stated that at the moment there is no plan to insert a Battle Royale mode in the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare. However, things could change in the future.
On this occasion, we remind you that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare reboot release is set for October 25th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
So apparently Battle Royale in #ModernWarfare will be a free mode to release in early 2020. It will be downloadable as a separate game, but also will still be connected to the core game. If this is true then it's a very good move by Activision.
