Following the formalization of the acquisition by Microsoft, Ninja Theory has become part of the ever-growing family of Xbox Game Studios.
In an interview given to the editors of Game Informer, Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, had the opportunity to discuss Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, erecting it for example of a very interesting production model for the House of Redmond.
In the course of the interesting chat, in fact, the latter stated that the Ninja Theory game “is a perfect example of the kind of games we are looking for from the teams we have recently acquired”. These, he continues, do not necessarily have to be ” ninety-hour triple-A games “, but, rather, productions ” incredibly well designed“, with production values that are as close as possible to those of an AAA and with a range that can be developed by smaller teams. Hellbalde is, according to Booty, also an excellent example of games that can function very well in the context of ‘ Xbox Game Pass, going to enrich the catalog and offering players quality experiences. The Xbox Game Studios manager also highlighted how, at the time when Microsoft reflected on the possible acquisition of the software house, the idea that the team could continue to produce titles with similar qualities and dimensions to those of Hellblade was considered by the Company in a positive manner.
Recently, for E3 2019, Ninja Theory presented its new project, revealing the first Bleeding Edge trailer to the public.
