Creative Assembly is pleased to announce that Total War Shogun II: Fall of the Samurai has become part of the Total War Saga family. The title of the game has been changed to A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai and the owners will receive as a gift all the DLC faction packs published so far.
The announcement came with the press release below:
Fall of the Samurai has always had the perfect features, in terms of size and purpose, to be in effect a Saga series title according to Creative Assembly. These games take the large-scale strategy and real-time battles typical of the Total War series and insert them into particular historical frames, which tell precise and intense moments, allowing players to experience and determine crucial events for the future of entire nations during periods of precarious balance.
Fall of the Samurai tells the dramatic clash between the traditional samurai culture and the explosive power of modern weapons and includes all the DLC faction packs. Set 400 years after the events of Total War: Shogun 2, the player’s task is to lead ancient Japan into the modern era, while the arrival of America, Britain, and France unleashes a fierce civil war that will determine the future of the nation.
To celebrate the announcement, A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai is currently available for purchase on Steam with a 75% discount.
