Deep Silver Fishlabs, the studio behind the Galaxy of Fire series, has announced it is working on new intellectual property, and on several projects not yet revealed to the public. What could it be?
The news came during THQ Nordic’s latest financial conference, during which the publisher stated “to assist with enthusiasm in the growth of Deep Silver Fishlabs, a team that makes its talents available in their studios”
We remind you that Deep Silver Fishlabs is a German software house based in Hamburg. Founded in 2004 by Michael Schade and Christian Lohr, the studio is famous for its Galaxy on Fire series, which includes Galaxy on Fire, Galaxy on Fire 2 and Galaxy on Fire: Alliances, Galaxy of Fire: Manticore. Following a brief bankruptcy proceeding, Fishlabs was acquired by Koch Media and reorganized as part of their Deep Silver label. As of July 2018, the company has over 70 employees.
All that remains is to wait for further details on new projects being developed at Deep Silver Fishlabs, among which a new IP would also stand out. Among the titles not yet announced, however, it seems reasonable to expect a new chapter of Galaxy on Fire.
Finally, we recall that during the financial conference the acquisition of Milestone, Gunfire Games and Goodbye Kansas by THQ Nordic was announced.
