Metro: Is a New Chapter in the Series Already Under Development?

Metro Exodus: No Comment by THQ Nordic on Epic Games Store Sales

THQ Nordic was the great protagonist of today’s morning news after the various news arrived after the publication of the financial results. It is in fact starting to talk about a return of TimeSplitters, and the change of Dead Island 2 developers have been announced.

Furthermore, THQ Nordic has acquired several development studies, including the Italian Milestone one. The news, however, does not seem to have ended here. According to some rumors that are making their way online in these hours, the publisher would also have given the green light to 4A Games for the development of a new title of the Metro series.

Metro Exodus has indeed met the expectations of the group, which gave carte blanche to the developers for the production of a new triple-A title, which should be precisely the fourth chapter of the saga, after Metro 2033, Metro Last Light and precisely, Metro Exodus.

It is obviously still too early to learn more at the moment, but it will be interesting to see if, after the controversy resulting from the decision to make the Metro Exodus exclusive Epic Games Store, THQ Nordic will decide to continue on a similar policy for the next title.

What do you think? Would you like it if the rumors about a new Metro were confirmed?
