During March 2019, the WayForward team announced Shantae 5, the new chapter of the saga destined to land on multiple platforms.
Subsequently, the software house went further, sharing with the public the new and colorful Shantae 5 Opening Animation, created by none other than the Studio TRIGGER team. Now, on the eve of the Gamescom 2019 edition, WayForward has chosen to formalize the definitive title of the game. As you can see in the twitter you find at the bottom of this news, in fact, Shantae 5 was officially renamed in ” Shantae and the Seven Sirens “.
In support of the announcement, the team also shared some initial details on the project, confirming that the game will offer a non-linear and interconnected game world, with numerous cities and dungeons. There will also be new dances and transformations, as well as boss fights and mini-games. The date of publication of the new action-adventure platformer has not yet been confirmed, but Shantae and the Seven Sirens will debut on the gaming market in 2020. Below are the platforms supported by the new WayForward production: Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and Apple Arcade.
