Forza Motorsport 6: Unveiled the Date on Which It Will Be Removed From the Microsoft Store

Forza Motorsport 6

TeamVVV colleagues remind us that Forza Motorsport 6, the Turn 10 car simulator launched in September 2015 on Xbox One, will soon leave the pages of the Microsoft Store and can no longer be purchased.

In fact, according to the information shared by the authors of Turn 10 during the last event in streaming with updates on the development of the next chapter of Forza Motorsport, support for Forza 6 is destined to continue for a few weeks.

The date set by the developers of Redmond for the release of Forza Motorsport 6 from the digital catalog of the Xbox One store is September 15, coinciding with the achievement of the End of Life Status of blockbuster racing.

This solution, albeit painful, was adopted already in October 2017 with the abandonment of Forza Motorsport 5 from the official Microsoft store and allows the Turn 10 guys to focus exclusively on the company’s future projects, ie without being forced to commit a part of its team in the development of patches and content updates of the title.

Starting from September 15th, therefore, it will no longer be possible to buy Forza Motorsport 6 and its expansions through the pages of the Microsoft Store: multiplayer servers will continue to be active for those who already have the game and, of course, for those who decide to download it free from the August Games With Gold catalog . On the other hand, until September 15th all DLCs are extremely discounted, with a discount on the launch price of up to 95% for the Complete Add-Ons Collection which includes all the expansions. At the time of writing, we don’t even know if the free-to-play version of Forza 6 for Windows 10 PC, called Apex, it will suffer the same fate as the console counterpart
