After the June announcement, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, a spin-off of the first title of the new Playtonic saga, finally has a launch window. The game will be released on October 2019, as announced on Twitter by the developers, even if the actual date has not yet been revealed.
The videogame is therefore still in the works, although at this point we should be at the final stages. The tweet in question shows a new video with the game’s graphics, in which the two main characters speak of the title’s release: “Beautiful things are coming in October”, we read.
In Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, the developers, a group of veterans of the genre already working on titles like Donkey Kong Country, led by Chris Sutherland (ex Rare) have abandoned the 3D of the original platform, in favor of a 2.5D rather nostalgic scroll.
