Gamescom 2109: Dates and Times of the Opening Show and Conferences

The 2019 edition of Gamescom, the most popular videogame fair in Europe, promises to give us lots of surprises: in this article, you will find the dates and times of the opening show, the conferences organized by the giants of the sector and the mainstreaming dedicated to most anticipated video games.

Like every year, even this time the main events of the Cologne videogame festival will be concentrated in the day that will anticipate the inauguration of the fair, to then leave space for streaming and in-depth analysis from the exhibition spaces that will be open to the public from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 24 August.

Here then is the complete calendar of the Gamescom 2019 conferences to be held on Monday 19 August and which, of course, we will follow live on these pages:

Nintendo Indie World (Monday 19 August from 15:00 (GMT+2))

To start the GC2019 dances the heads of the Kyoto house will take care of it with an appointment that will be published on Nintendo’s YouTube channel starting at 15:00 (GMT+2) on August 19th. With about 20 minutes of gameplay scenes enclosed in the Nintendo Indie World event, the Super Mario house promises to open a window on the kaleidoscopic multiverse of adventures that await us with the independent video games scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch over the next few months.

Inside Xbox (19 August from 18:00 (GMT+2))

The special episode of Inside Xbox organized by Major Nelson and by the heads of the Xbox division of Microsoft which will take place at 6.00 pm (GMT+2) will involve all video game fans on Xbox One and PC Windows 10 (but not only) thanks to the premiere of the Horde mode of Gears , the Ghost Recon Breakpoint multiplayer and the Destiny 2 Shadows from the Deep gameplay. Ample space will then be given to the announcement of the new games arriving in the Game Pass and to many other titles, both exclusive and multi-platform.

Google Stadia Connect (19 August from 19:00 (GMT+2))

A few months after the launch of Google’s new in-game streaming service, the Mountain View giant will take advantage of the media showcase granted by Gamescom 2019 to reveal more details on Stadia. Without knowing in detail the plans of Big G, from the event scheduled from 19:00 (GMT+2) on August 19th it is reasonable to expect the announcement of the final launch date and, plausibly, the revelation of new exclusive games.

Opening Night Live (19 August from 20:00 (GMT+2))

The live streaming event presented by The Game Awards organizer, Geoff Keighley, will host the Cologne videogame fair with the Opening Night Live show scheduled for 8.00 pm (GMT+2). During what will be the GC2019 opening ceremony, world premieres will be shown, with more than 15 publishers hosted on stage to present their upcoming projects. A special focus will then be given to Death Stranding, presumably with a new game video commented on by Hideo Kojima.
