On the occasion of the Opening Night Live broadcast which opened the Gamescom 2019 edition, the CD Projekt RED guys finally unveiled the release date of The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch, set for October 15, 2019.
During the fair, the exponents of the specialized press were able to test this new version of the game, and it didn’t take long before some technical details emerged. Digital Foundry has revealed the resolution in docked and portable mode, while Famitsu has brought to our attention a decidedly interesting datum regarding the loading times: apparently, on Nintendo Switch they are at least 40% faster compared to the counterparts PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is a substantial improvement, probably due to the lower technical complexity of the hybrid edition, characterized by lower quality textures, geometries, and effects. For Nintendo Switch players, in any case, they won’t mind waiting for less time at the start of the title and between one quick trip and another.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will arrive on the physical and digital shelves on October 15 on Nintendo Switch. In addition to the base game, it will also include all the DLCs and the two expansions – Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine – published after the original launch. If you have not already done so, we invite you to discover what Francesco Fossetti thinks about the game in the preview of The Witcher 3 for Switch from Gamescom 2019.
