After the countless requests from the community of the motor racing simulator, Polyphony Digital has finally confirmed the arrival of the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit inside Gran Turismo Sport.
Located in the Ardennes area, the Spa-Francorchamps is the oldest racetrack in the history of Belgium, as well as one of the most popular circuits ever by drivers and motor racing fans. To confirm the imminent introduction of the track among the contents offered by Gran Turismo Sport, came tweeting of Polyphony Digital that, as you can verify at the bottom, has nicely ironized on the pressing requests of the players following one another since the launch of the game. Furthermore, an off-screen screenshot showing the circuit was leaked into the network, further confirming this welcome novelty.
The Spa-Francorchamps debuted in the franchise of Kazunori Yamauchi in Gran Turismo 5 and was reconfirmed at the launch of the sixth chapter of the series. As reported by GT Planet, with Gran Turismo Sport, Sony had refused to pay the apparently exorbitant cost of the license necessary to include the track within the title. This to date, apparently, since things are clearly about to change.
At the moment it is not clear whether the players will be able to start darting between the very famous curves and straights of the Spa-Francorchamps starting from the next GT Sport update, scheduled for next week, and that has not yet confirmed the much-needed arrival of the rain.
