Seen in Destiny’s first preparatory sketches and in the final movie of the Destiny 2 campaign, the ominous Pyramid Spaceships and their mysterious “tenants” could represent one of the main surprises of Shadows from the Deep, or at least that’s what Bungie suggests from Gamescom 2019.
During an interview granted to the Cologne fair by Scott Taylor, the head producer of Bungie was in fact asked about the return of the Pyramid Spaceships and, more generally, the narrative, playful and content surprises that await us by shuttling between Tower of the last city on Earth and the eerie Moon of Shadowkeep.
Without referring directly to the enigmatic pyramid-shaped spaceships and to the still more mysterious alien race capable of exploring the galaxy aboard these gigantic hyper-technological arcs similar in architecture to that of the Vex, Taylor explains that“with Shadowkeep we will absolutely push the main narrative threads of Destiny. While with the expansions we have been working on secondary stories exploring the most remote corners of the Destiny universe, with Shadows from the Deep we will carry the whole story forward. Another what we are excited about is the way in which the plot of Shadowkeep starts the subplots that we will carry on during the Season of the Timeless and for the whole duration of the Year 3. But I don’t want to go any further to reveal spoilers on the story!”.
We do not know, therefore, if the mythical Pyramidal Spaceships awakened by the Traveler at the end of Destiny 2 will enter or not in the Solar System of the blockbuster shooter of Bungie. Meanwhile, we can only remind you that Ombre dal Profondo will be available starting October 1st on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a subsequent launch on Google Stadia set for November.
