With the most successful Kickstarter campaign in gaming history, Yu Suzuki has progressively succeeded in shaping Shenmue 3, which is about to debut on the market.
The official release of the game is now only a few months away and the author partly turns his mind to a possible sequel. Moreover, already long ago Sukuzi had declared that, in his conception, Ryo’s adventures would have required a lot of work to be completed, with the story now complete for about 40%. Questioned about a future Shenmue 4 , the game designer has released some statements to the Editor of the VGC portal .
Suzuki, in particular, associates the realization of a fourth chapter above all with two elements: the acceptance of Shenmue 3 by the public and the team’s ability to create partnerships. ” If Shenmue 3 will sell well – he said – this will make things easier [with Shenmue 4]. But I think it will depend more on what kind of partner we will be able to guarantee “. If he had the chance, said Suzuki, he would be happy to complete the narrative arc he designed for the videogame series.
Shenmue 3 will debut on PC and Playstation 4 on November 19th.
